Empty House

Empty house, empty room.  Oh joy!  Last night it was just Brian and me. Patty and kids left in the morning; Kelz went out around 5 PM; William went out around 6 PM; Bri and I were alone.  Had the TV remote to myself (no Kevin!!), sat in any chair I wished to sit, didn't even have an alcoholic beverage!  Just went into a zombie state-of-mind.Told Brian it felt as though we had been the cruise directors on a very busy cruise ship, and we had just put into port and all of our passengers had disembarked.  Oh joy, an empty ship.              

All kidding aside, we had a great time with everyone here.  Really...we did!!  Truly...I kid you not. But the peace and quiet is mind-boggling right now.  Sort of like childbirth...you swear you'll never do it again, but a year later.....Next year, guys, my place, and let the fireworks begin!

Happy 4th of July, Family.


This sparkling Sangria was compliments of John and Amy.  My mouth waters (and my head hurts!). Yes, this was only the first pitcher of the day!! And, no, it wasn't the only beverage I sampled.  ^__^ 

Had a great time even tho the weather did not cooperate.  Even that was OK for our Arizona and OK siblings.  Aunt Dot and Toni drove down from Ft. Collins; Dale had his nephew over; William had friends over; John, Amy and Noah had Jim and Janette to themselves since Kristy/Matt/Twins had a previous engagement, and Dan was out-of-town.

The only one missing was my darling girl because she had to work!!
