Departing Denver

Off to DIA w/o a single mishap.  A wee misstep at security--all four of us were subjected to secondary searches.  Haha  I forgot my iPhone was still in the lower zipper pocket of my pants (stealthy, but....also forgettable); I think Janette forgot her vitamin pills, and I have no idea why they ran the wand over Jim!!  Brian, of course, travels with every electronic gadget under the sun so he got "special" attention!!  In any case, we all made it through and moved onto a brew pub to kill some time.

Airplane trip to London was a breeze.  There before we even knew it.  Only one crying baby and some rather noisy flight attendants, but smooth flying.

London to Dublin also went off without a hitch.  Some interesting security at Heathrow.  We were actually digitally photographed and each check point we went through after that they simply called up our photo and through we went!!

The flight to Dublin included three pretty Irish lasses named, get this....Kirsten, Fiona and Claire!!  Too funny for words.  And their outfits....simple pencil skirts, blouses and Mary Poppin Hats.

That's it for now.  Hope to get to some pics of the Temple Bar Area posted in my next entry.  Brian is rushing me out the door because we are going to do an Authentic Irish Pub tour tonight!!!

bye bye

Leadville Camping

So....Kelsey, Brian and I went camping at Turquoise Lake just outside of Leadville.  Beautiful weather when we got there, with just a hint of storm clouds in the distance.  TaDah...a couple of hours after setting up camp, and right in the middle of din-din, the skies opened up like someone turned on a faucet above our heads!  We had a couple of Kelty covers with us so we were dry, but the tent was in trouble.  The site was right at the base of a freaking mountain and the water was just rolling toward the tent like a magnet.  I suggested we trench around the site and was met with words of encouragement, but no offers of assistance.  Haha  Kelsey was my prime spectator and Brian was my wantabe supervisor.  So much fun!!  Actually, I had a blast.  I am such a tomboy--playing in the rain and the mud was right up my alley. The most fun I've had camping in a long time.  I must have done a good job because we did stay dry that night.

The next day was beautiful and we got some lovely photos of the lake.
